MCG links with 24/7 Software to improve venue security

Cloud-based venue operations and safety management platform 24/7 Software has partnered with the Melbourne Cricket Club to enhance safety, security and the overall guest experience at the MCG.

The partnership will cover areas such as incident management, real-time communication tools for guests and staff, health and safety request processes, event planning, security guard tours, guest request tracking and analytics.

Commenting on the introduction of 24/7 Software, Melbourne Cricket Club General Manager of Venue and Event Services, Josh Eltringham stated “we’re incredibly excited to work with the global market leader in venue operations.

“This partnership represents a significant step forward in our efforts to enhance the guest experience and ensure safety and security at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.”

Justin King, Executive Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at 24/7 Software, added “we’re thrilled to collaborate with MCC and bring our cutting-edge platform to the APAC market.

“As we continue to expand our presence, we’ve invested in building a local team and have recently hired our first senior director. Additionally, we’ve established a new AWS cloud server in Sydney to better serve our customers in the region.”

Also in use across the Melbourne and Olympic Park precinct, 24/7 Software has worked with a host of sports venues around the world, including Lord’s Cricket Ground in London; US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA and Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, New York, USA.

24/7 Software entered the Australasian market in September 2022.
