Mastercard secures two-year exclusive partnership with Taronga Zoo

In securing a two-year partnership, Mastercard has become Crown Sponsor of Taronga Conservation Society Australia including Taronga Zoo Sydney, Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo, the Taronga Foundation and presenting partner of Taronga TV and New Year’s Eve events.

In addition to supporting the Taronga Foundation’s contribution to conservation efforts, activities and programs, Mastercard will also become a presenting partner of the highly popular NYE at Taronga event and Taronga TV – the zoo’s digital channel that takes animal lovers behind the scenes at Taronga Zoo Sydney and Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo.

Mastercard Division President Australasia, Richard Wormald advises “when it comes to the environment, it is the responsibility of every organisation and individual to take action. Mastercard believes in combining the power of its network with technology and innovation to drive scalable sustainable change.

“Mastercard is excited to partner with such a highly respected and like-minded organisation with a shared vision for the impact that both technology and innovation can have on changing the way we contribute to our planet.”

With over 1.5 million visitors each year, Taronga is one of Australia’s most highly regarded conservation organisations. Its habitat regeneration programs align closely with Mastercard’s Priceless Planet initiative, which was announced earlier this year and saw Mastercard pledge to plant 100 million trees over the next five years.

Mastercard has also partnered with Citi Australia to deliver an unparalleled customer experience for Citi Mastercard cardholders at Taronga Zoo. In addition to offering pre-sale access to NYE at Taronga event tickets, Citi and Mastercard will collaborate on a series of Priceless Cities experiences and benefits available exclusively to customers using a Citi Mastercard.

Mastercard is committed to respecting and preserving the environment, promoting environmental sustainability in both its daily activities and in how the organisation works with others.
