Massive Wibit Sports installation to open on the Gold Coast Broadwater

Featuring Australia's largest installation of Wibit Sports open water inflatable adventure playground equipment, AquaSplash is set to open on the Gold Coast Broadwater this weekend.

Australia's first open water inflatable adventure playground, developed by Queensland entrepreneur Matthew Devine, will be located in and complement the Broadwater Parklands' existing free and paid water attractions including the Surf Life Saving supervised swimming lagoon, the Rockpools and stand up paddle boarding.

Backed by Gold Coast City Council, AquaSplash will be open all summer to take advantage of the Gold Coast's great weather.

As Devine explains "we have been fortunate enough to be working with the Gold Coast City Council who have allowed us to set up the playground on the Broadwater for everyone to enjoy.

"This is an Australian first, Australia's first open water inflatable playground, the first of its kind in Australia and the largest of its kind in the world. To top it all off, it (offers) hours of fun for young and the young at heart."

Wibit Sports attractions feature inflatable modules that connect together to provide an on-water obstacle course resulting in hours of adventure and fun.

Manufactured in Germany, Wibit Sports equipment conforms to the European safety Standard, EN 15649: Floating leisure articles for use on and in the water, recognised by over 27 countries.

The EN 15649 Standard specifies safety requirements and test methods related to materials, safety and performance that has been adopted by aquatic facilities around the world.

The European safety Standard also clearly defines areas for operation such as required water depth, entrapment hazards, intended users and mandatory warning label requirements for aquatic inflatables.
