Marvel Stadium to sell $2 pies during AFL season Rounds One and Two
With venues often criticised for the high cost of food and beverage items, the AFL and Marvel Stadium have announced that pies will cost just $2 pies at all matches at the Melbourne venue in Rounds One and Two.
Advising that the offer of Four'N Twenty Pies all of Marvel Stadium’s F&B outlets is a welcome back gesture to fans at matches in the coming fortnight, AFL Executive General Manager - Customer and Commercial, Kylie Rogers stated "AFL footy fans in Melbourne have been starved of men's Premiership matches since season 2019, so it's only appropriate we offer them a taste of the time-honoured tradition for only $2.
"It has been a long time coming and we are so very excited to welcome fans back to matches at Marvel Stadium this weekend.
"Nothing better than watching the game in the outer, footy record in one hand, and a pie in the other."
Perth's Optus Stadium has also unveiled a new ‘street eats’ menu ahead of this week's AFL season opening round.
Gage Roads, which has had its pourage contract at Optus Stadium extended until the end of 2027, this week delivered its first beer shipment of what could be up to two million beers to be consumed at the venue during the year.
Marvel Stadium is hosting four matches in the first two rounds of the AFL season:
Round 1
Saturday 20th March - Essendon vs Hawthorn
Sunday 21st March - North Melbourne vs Port Adelaide
Round 2
Saturday 27th March - St Kilda vs Melbourne
Sunday 28th March - Western Bulldogs vs West Coast
