Mark Hallett takes up key Nunawading basketball role
The Nunawading Amateur Basketball Association and the Nunawading Basketball Centre have announced the appointment of Mark Hallett as the new General Manager.
Hallett has been appointed to the role based on his wealth of knowledge and experience in both the business and basketball domains.
He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business specialising in Accounting, Finance and Marketing and is a Member of CPA Australia. Mark's progression through the accounting industry over the past 10 years has most recently seen him hold the position of Financial Controller for an international IT wholesaler.
Accompanying his business acumen, Mark has been part of the Nunawading Basketball Community since 1989; playing 18 years of junior domestic and representative basketball. He has coached at all junior levels and is currently coaching within the Nunawading Spectres Program.
Since 2002, Mark has contributed to the referees program as an A-Grade official and spent two years as a level 1 scoretable official. Mark has also undertaken the role of Referee Director for the Nunawading Spectres Junior Tournament since 2009.
Most recently Mark was elected into the role of Treasurer for the Melbourne East Basketball Association and has been proactive in improving its marketing and financial positions. He is heavily involved with the SEABL and DLEAGUE Committee and heads the marketing program.
