Managers Back Temporary PVC Fencing
Racetracks and showgrounds are among the growing number of sporting and conference venues, hotels and resorts using temporary fencing modules made from attractive lightweight PVC.
The PVC fencing modules, made in Australia by Polvin Fencing Systems (PFS), give facilities managers a great deal more flexibility in how they use space, than permanently fixed fencing according to PFS Sales Manager Jackie Hanslo. She explains that âthe fencing is lightweight and easily moved, and is more attractive and stronger than other materials used for 'temporary' fencing applications.?
Recent converts to PVC fencing include The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria which uses Polvin picket fencing for its dog show arena, Brisbane's RNA Showground which chose post and rail modules and Victoria's Cranbourne Race Course which selected picket fencing.
Another race course at Caloundra in Queensland uses PVC fencing to streamline the management of its functions area while the Sunshine Coast Turf Club also uses Polvin fencing to provide a walkway for horses crossing the grass track to race on a new synthetic track.
Jackie adds that âthe fencing is also easy to clean, maintain and store.?
Polvin Fencing Systems markets this Australian-made PVC fencing systems while Queensland-based Polvin Compounds, which makes the raw materials for the fencing, also produces both rigid and flexible PVC dry blends and compounds to meet the needs of its customers for a diverse range of products and markets.
Sister company, Melbourne based Pro-Plas, which extrudes all the fencing profiles, also produces an extensive range of extrusions for various markets, including automotive, shop fitting, furniture and the building industry.
