Major upgrades announced for Shepparton BMX Club
The Victorian Government has announced major upgrades for Shepparton BMX Club – identified as one of the 15 sporting infrastructure projects across the state to benefit from the State Government’s Regional Sports Infrastructure Program.
As home of the AusCycling BMX Racing National Championships, the Shepparton BMX Club teaches and inspires the next generation of BMX riders to go to the next level.
The upgrades will include a new multi-use pavilion, velodrome lighting, major track upgrades including the start hill, and new broadcasting equipment to show the events to the wider community.
These upgrades will boost participation, attract more major events and elite sport to the Shepparton region and make sure the club remains a world-class BMX venue for generations to come.
Further updates on the project will be provided in the coming months, with the first works to kick off later this year. For more information about the Regional Sports Infrastructure Program, visit sport.vic.gov.au.
