Mahbilil Festival to showcase best of Kakadu culture
Kakadu in the Northern Territory will celebrate the best in Indigenous music, arts and bushfoods at next month's Mahbilil Festival.
To be held on 5th September, the free day-long Festival will be staged at Jabiru Lakeside Park, with a program of local and national live music, traditional dance, performance and circus, bushtucker demonstrations, cooking competitions, sports carnival and workshops.
Looking forward to the event, Gundjeihmi Chairwoman Annie Ngalmirama stated “we invite everyone to come to Mahbilil to share in Mirarr culture and enjoy this beautiful Gurrung season in Kakadu.
“Every year Mahbilil brings us together to celebrate, and we welcome everyone to join us, to dance, to try some bush tucker and have fun.”
