Magic Mountain Merimbula to celebrate 30th anniversary
While the Gold Coast is promoted as Australia's theme park capital, Merimbula Magic Mountain on the NSW South Coast has been delivering amusement parks thrills for the last 30 years.
This weekend will see the attraction mark its 30th anniversary with a series of celebrations on Sunday 24th November.
The day will feature half price unlimited ride passes, a birthday cake, lolly scramble and performances from Rhys the Magician.
The amusement park admitted it first patron in November 1983, adding a dynamic to the tourist appeal of Merimbula with its toboggan track, Grand Prix cars, rollercoaster, waterslides, jumping castle, mini golf, 'Triassic' dinosaur park and performing arts stage.
Today, it employs 25 staff during peak season, attracts 40,000 visitors each year and the Trip Advisor Travellers Choices Awards, have just listed it in the top 10 water parks and amusement parks in the South Pacific.
Magic Mountain's management are inviting past visitors to share their memories of the attraction.
