Lorna Jane founder named as finalist in Business Woman Awards 2012

Leading fitness and lifestyle retailer Lorna Jane Clarkson has been nominated for the prestigious Australian Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award 2012.

After launching a successful clothing line and releasing her first book, it is not surprising that the founder and creative director of Lorna Jane has been shortlisted for the award.

As a business owner Clarkson has more than 21 years experience in retail and 120 stores dotted in towns and cities across Australia.

In her role at Lorna Jane the entrepreneur has also overseen the release of her own range of hi-tech performance fabrics that are an important part of the brand's continued popularity among women of all ages.

Another reason may be the company's holistic approach to fashion and fitness that continues to promote and sell the message that a healthy body image is part and parcel of an active lifestyle.

The author of 'Move Nourish Believe: The Fit Woman's Secret Revealed' and ambassador for healthy living is the only fashion identity to receive a nomination in this year's awards program, but that does not mean she is the only high-profile person in Australia to take part in the industry event.

The Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award is a bi-annual event in Australia and is also held in 16 countries around the world since.

It was established in 1972 to commemorate Madame Clicquot, who founded the champagne brand.
