Lithgow Council announces season closure of outdoor pool at JM Robson Aquatic Centre

After a fantastic summer season, Lithgow City Council has advised that the 50 metre outdoor pool at the JM Robson Aquatic Centre will close for the winter season at close of business on Sunday 3rd April 2022.

Commenting on the outdoor pool’s operation over the summer months, Lithgow Mayor, Maree Statham advised “this swimming season has been characterised by the disruption of Covid and unprecedented rain.

“However, in the face of these challenges, the facility has still had one of its busiest seasons and Council sincerely thanks the community for their interest and enthusiasm.

“With disappointment, it now comes time to close the outdoor facility for the winter season commencing Monday the 4th of April 2022.

“The staff and management of the Aquatic Centre thank everyone for their patronage during the summer season. They will be continuing to run regular programs over the winter season and look forward to your continued support throughout the year.”
