Lifeguarding Services Australia secures Glen Innes Severn Council pool management contract extension

Glen Innes Severn Council has announced that it has agreed a 12-month contract with Lifeguarding Services Australia (LSA) for the operation and management of its Glen Innes and Emmaville Aquatic Centres.

With the pool season scheduled to begin at the end of this month, LSA’s new contract took effect on 1st September and will see the business take on responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations of both aquatic centres, ensuring that high standards of safety, maintenance, and customer service are upheld throughout the season.

The Council advised that the contract partnership is aimed at enhancing the overall experience for all visitors and ensuring that the centres continue to provide a safe and enjoyable environment. Advising that the Council is looking forward to this collaboration with Lifeguarding Services Australia for the next 12 months, Glen Innes Severn Council General Manager, Bernard Smith noted “we are delighted to enter into this partnership with Lifeguarding Services Australia. Their expertise in managing aquatic centres will be instrumental in maintaining and improving our facilities. We look forward to a successful season and providing an excellent experience for our community.”

LSA Chief Executive, Stan Wall stated “Lifeguarding Services Australia has a long history or supporting sporting and swimming venues across both regional NSW and Queensland. We work with council and community groups on improving preventative health outcomes, increasing employment and providing a safe and enjoyable place to swim and relax.

“We are looking forward to partnering with Glen Innes Severn Council and working with all the user groups across the summer.”

The Glen Innes and Emmaville Aquatic Centres will open for the 2024/25 season at the end of September, with a range of activities and programs scheduled for all ages.
