Life Floor improves underfoot safety at Gold Coast's Beach Haven Resort
Life Floor has advised of the completion of the recent makeover of surfacing around the outdoor swimming pool at the ULTIQA Beach Haven resort at Broadbeach on the Gold Coast.
Life Floor provided surfaces to improve comfort and underfoot safety on the pool island deck, stair step and wading pool floor at this popular family resort.
Designed and installed by Grassports Australia (Queensland), the 52 metre² space is 10mm thick.
With Life Floor the only safety surface currently certified to the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF)/American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Standard 50 for Interactive Water Play Venue Surfacing Systems, Life Floor Chief Executive, Jonathan Keller explains “concrete and other conventionally-surfaced splash pads have always put restrictions on play.
“Running, jumping, rolling - these activities could be dangerous, or at least very uncomfortable, on a hard, abrasive floor.
“On Life Floor splash pads, we’ve seen kids run, jump, roll, wrestle, tumble, do handstands, all while playing in water. Safety surfacing encourages kids to spend more time on splash pads, exploring, connecting, and playing just the way they want to.”
