Leading global experts coming to Sydney for Event Summit 2019
The people behind some of the world’s biggest and best events will meet in Sydney for Event Summit 2019 on Thursday 13th June.
Being held as part of the 2019 Vivid Ideas Exchange Program, the second edition on the Event Summit will feature international guest speakers include Elise Doganieri, creator of the multi-Emmy Award winning series The Amazing Race and Tim Roberts, safety, security and operations manager for large scale events including Glastonbury, SXSW, The Beijing Olympics and Red Bull’s UK events.
The Event Summit will see the convergence of the minds behind some of the world’s biggest events including TEG, Mushroom Group, Moonlight Cinemas, Racing Victoria, Basketball Australia, Samsung Australia, Woodford Folk Festival, The America’s Cup/SailGP, The Miami Dolphins (NFL), Samsung Australia, Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras and many more.
The current issues facing the Australia’s music festival landscape will be explored in three sessions, including: Paid Police (with senior NSW and Victorian Police along with NSW Premier’s Department representatives), Harm Minimisation (hosted by Osher Gunsberg) and Demistifying event work health and safety due diligence (with Assistant State inspector SafeWork NSW – Investigations and emergency response directorate)
There will also be an opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with key decision makers from NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet, NSW Police, Victorian Police and WorkSafe NSW.
For the first time, the 2019 Event Summit will also include an on-site activation tour by Vivid sponsor, Samsung, with key operational and brand custodians detailing the live experience.
Property NSW will also hold a precinct tour, where delegates will have the opportunity to understand how events including Sydney’s NYE, Australia Day and Vivid are brought to life.
The Event Summit will run be held at the Museum of Contemporary Arts followed by networking drinks for attendees and keynote speakers overlooking the Vivid Sydney precinct.
