Laser Tag Lads win 4th Place at World Titles

Ben Baker and Michael Pastorello, both from the Sunshine Coast, are back from Finland where they played in the Laser Tag World titles representing Australia. They were happy to bring home fourth place for Australia behind America and the two teams from the host nation.
Explaining their placing, Ben Baker stated "Although it was disappointing not bring home the Gold we are happy with fourth place. The competition was very competitive and the home town teams had the advantage of knowing the maze.
"The international competition has been perfect training for the National Titles being held on the Sunshine Coast in July."
Annette Lasek, Owner and Manager of LaserZone Sunshine Coast, said âwe are looking forward to hosting the National Titles in July. Mooloolaba Tourism are supporting the event and we will be bringing 150 players to the coast from all over Australia and two teams from New Zealand."
Laser Tag is a high-tech sport where players wearing computerised vests or packs and handheld 'phasers' attempt to achieve a winning score by zapping opposing players, base stations, and other targets within a playing arena or maze.
