Kompan to stage 'Day of Play'

Leading international playground equipment company Kompan is staging an innovative event highlighting the value of play.

Titled the 'National Day of Play', the event allows industry delegates to view the latest playground innovation and learn from presentations from key industry figures.

Being held in Sydney on Friday 17th April, the National Day of Play will coincide with the official opening of the Fairfield City Council’s new Adventure Park – a new $1.4 adventure playground designed for the recreational needs of older children that offers equipment including an 11-metre high giant climbing net, a sky bridge and slide combination, one of the tallest of its kind in Australia, as well as a 33-metre long double flying fox.

Topics to be covered at the National Day of Play include:

• Pushing the boundaries in playground construction using engineered flexible bended steel frames
• Game changing 3D vertical multi-level net playground environments
• Cutting edge design practices
• New ways in crossing borders – a first view of Kompans' new flying lantern bridge
