Kelly Tarlton's opens underwater splash playground
Kelly Tarlton’s SEA LIFE Aquarium has introduced Auckland’s first underwater splash playground.
Created by Arterial Design, the new 60 metre² Shipwreck Shores playground marks one of the many exciting activities planned to celebrate Kelly Tarlton’s 30th anniversary in January next year.
Set to spark imaginations, the fully fenced Shipwreck Shores incorporates a splash table, where children are able to experience the joys of water play, a soft play area where adventurous youngsters can sneak a peek at a hidden fish tank, a chill out zone, and a seacave crawl lit with secret lighting.
Commenting on the new playground areas, Kelly Tarlton’s SEA LIFE Aquarium’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Claire Wheeler stated "Kelly Tarlton’s previous playground was over five years old and with our 30th birthday in January we decided it was time for a refresh. Shipwrecks in nature provide rich new habitats for creatures to grow, and like them, our Shipwreck themed playground is a place of fun and adventure, and if you look hard enough you may discover hidden natural wonders."
