Jetts Fitness celebrates members getting sweaty

Leading 24/7 fitness chain Jetts has rolled a highly successful social media campaign, #SweatySelfies, which encourages members to share their best post workout ‘selfie’ on their social media accounts.

Jetts created #SweatySelfies after they found members were regularly taking ‘sweaty selfies’ during or after a workout, with the campaign designed to increase engagement with Jetts' passionate fans across Facebook and Instagram.

The campaign also promotes active living and members getting involved with their gym, backing Jetts' non-judgmental attitude both inside and outside of their 250 clubs across Australia and New Zealand.

Jetts Chief Executive Martin Oliver said Jetts wanted to create a campaign that united members and removed the ‘intimidation’ that often comes with gyms.

Oliver explained “we created #SweatySelfies to show members that at the end of the day, regardless of your fitness level, we all sweat – and when you’ve smashed out a workout you should be proud and celebrate by taking selfies and sharing it.”

#SweatySelfies allows members to take a moment and be proud of their hard work in the gym and share it with their friends and online social communities.

It is also a great way to connect with members and congratulate them as they do their workouts and achieve fitness goals.

The campaign is designed to bring health and fitness back into focus, as Jetts members can work out at any time of the day or night.

The response to the #SweatySelfies campaign saw 2,390 #SweatySelfies tags on Facebook and 16,720 #Jetts tags on Instagram.

Oliver adds “we also have seen a lot more members posting their workout picturess to the Jetts Australia Facebook page.”

The campaign also highlights Jetts innovative use of social media to connect with members. Facebook and Twitter are used as customer service channels where members are able to get answers to any question they may have. Interaction with members via Instagram is popular as members post workout pics and often share their achievements.

Jetts receives a high level of interaction on Facebook by posting questions and playing games with followers and make an effort to reply to almost every comment and message that is posted.

Oliver concludes “we make an effort to congratulate members on their achievements and even send out Jetts Prize Packs to those that have smashed their goals.

“We’ve found the more we interact with members, the more they interact and share with us.”
