International Fitness' growth boosted by customising equipment for clients
With over 20 years of experience in the manufacture, import and export of world class commercial fitness equipment, Queensland-based International Fitness is now offering its fitness industry clients an increasingly flexible range of equipment options.
For a recent installation at the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS), one of Australia’s most advanced elite training organisations, International Fitness installed 16 of their Australian-made Super Duty Omni Rigs and lifting platforms.
Chris Gaviglio, QAS’ Manager of Strength and Conditioning, had limited space and specialised requirements for the installation including retractable band pegs, self centering bench mechanism and compact lifting platforms.
This called for a customised solution that was achieved through a design collaboration between International Fitness and the QAS.
The features that arose from that collaboration are now being incorporated into International Fitness’ Super Duty racks and Rigs, and will soon be available to all Super Duty customers.
The Super Duty Omni Rigs were also customised so that 3D camera technology from Elite Form could be fitted easily.
Beneath the feet of the QAS’ athletes, another custom innovation from International Fitness has seen the QAS’ brand identity subliminated beneath the clear protective coating of the platforms to ensure durability.
As a result, the platforms not only protect the QAS’s floor, as well as the bars and weights, but also reinforce the QAS corporate identity.
With these platforms available in a variety of sizes to fit all of International Fitness’ racks and rigs, as well as being available as square platforms for use without a rack, this product can offer a great point of difference for facilities, gyms and studios in any location.
Another recent success for International Fitness has been its Modular Group Trainer.
The Modular Group Trainer (MGT) offers a modern, space efficient solution to clubs of all sizes looking for a group training or functional circuit system.
There are five main stations to choose from, connected together by monkey bars – with the monkey bars being ideal for body weight exercices such as chin ups, or to hang suspension bands or Olympic rings from.
Clubs without the space to have the stations separated by the bridges, can connect the stations directly together.
Each station provides a multitude of exercise options. Chin ups, kettle bell racks, battle rope rails and much more are inbuilt into various stations. The Boxing and Stretching stations feature mounts to suit International Fitness’ optional Dip bars and Plyo platforms while the Half Rack station includes chin up bar and weight storage pins.
The MGT offers multiple combinations to enable facilities to design a system that suits individual training philosophies while the modular nature of the MGT allows users to expand the system over time as your client base or available space increases.
Recent MGT installations have included Springwood Fitness, Logan Central and Lifestyle Redbank.
Commenting on Lifestyle Health Clubs’ MGT, owner David Kuhnemann explains “our Trainers feel that this is an amazing piece of equipment and this should fill a big void that’s been missing in the fitness industry.
“This allows people to think outside the box and add a new dimension to individuals training.
“Not only does the MGT provide a whole new activity and classes that our members and trainers love, but it has made it easier to organise and keep our club clutter free.
“There is no wasted space on the stations, almost every space is used as racking for our medicine balls, kettlebells, ropes and bands.”
International Fitness’ brands include the Modular Group Trainer, Integrity Strength and Super Duty Systems.
