Inflatable Water park Approved for Geraldton
The City of Geraldton-Greenough's councillors have approved an inflatable water park development for the Geraldton foreshore.
The approval will allow Aquafun Pty Ltd to operate park between 9am and 5pm between October and May over the next three years.
The park, the first of its type in Western Australia, will feature trampolines, a 'rebound bouncer slide', various runways and slides, a 'summit play station' 4.6 metres above the water and an 'iceberg' slide.
The equipment will be deflated and removed at the end of each operating day.
Aquafun's Greg Galvin welcomed the councilâs decision and said the company would now undertake a detailed study of costings, stating "we want to make sure the fun park will be affordable to all families and keep the costs down."
Galvin anticipated that the attraction would operate about 50 days each year, depending on weather conditions.
