Inaugural SwimTASSIE Conference

This weekend will see Swim Australia hosting its first ever SwimTASSIE Conference.

To be held in Hobart on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th August, the event is based on the SwimWEST conference program that has been held in Perth for the last seven years.

Organised for aquatic professionals in the island State, the event has already attracted more than 50 delegate registrations.

SwimTASSIE's keynote speaker is Sydney-based infant swimming expert Julie Zancanaro while sessions will cover Swim School management topics on the Saturday; and Babiesand Toddler, Learn to Swim and 'Strokes' on the Sunday.

Delegates who attend the event will be able to put it towards Professional Development re-registrations points for both ASCTA & Austswim qualifications.

With what should be a successful event Swim Australia plans to host the event again, either annually or biannually, so that the Tasmanians no longer necessarily have to come to the mainland for quality Professional Development events.
