iFLY opens new skydiving tunnel at Doha Quest in Qatar

International leader in indoor skydiving tunnels - iFLY - has opened iFLY Quest at Doha, Qatar’s first and biggest indoor theme park.

Visitors to Quest can now experience the sensation of freefall in a safe and controlled environment overseen by expert instructors as they soar through the air in the venue’s new cutting-edge vertical wind tunnel.

New Generation 9 10.5ft tunnel
For iFLY, the opening marks the first new Generation 9 10.5ft tunnel opened by a franchisee, as the firm continues its global expansion. The Generation 9 10.5ft tunnel is built fully above grade, meaning there is no need for deep, expensive foundations. Designed for family entertainment, it is ideal for theme parks, shopping malls or other mixed-use developments, where it can be built either in its own stand-alone building or inside an existing building.

Ben Philpott, iFLY’s director of global development adds “It was a privilege to attend the Official Opening Ceremony of iFLY Quest. The opening of iFLY Quest also marks a milestone for iFLY with the launch of the new and groundbreaking GEN 9 10.5ft tunnel inside a prestigious indoor theme park.

iFLY is the newest addition to Quest’s array of over 30 rides and attractions, from thrill rides to fun family outings. These include the world’s tallest indoor roller coaster, EpiQ Coaster, and the world’s tallest indoor drop tower ride, Magma Blast. Quest is part of Doha Oasis, a leisure and entertainment hub located in the heart of Msheireb Downtown.

Recently, iFLY began construction on a new iFLY venue in Wilmington, North Carolina, US. The firm is dedicated to “making the dream of flight a reality for everyone” and has created the worldwide market for indoor skydiving.
