IAAPA Asia Appointment to Expand programs and services

The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) has appointed Andrew Lee as its new Executive Director for its operations in the Asia Pacific.
Andrew will begin his role with IAAPA on 16th September and will be based in Hong Kong.
Lee will lead IAAPAâs efforts to expand and enhance the Associationâs programs and services in the Asia Pacific region and will oversee government relations, communications, membership development, education, and the Asian Attractions Expo.
Andrew is a veteran of the meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions industry, the business events industry as well as the hospitality and travel industry. Most recently, Andrew served as director, business ventures for Asia World�?Expo a joint venture between Global Sources and Pico, two of Asiaâs largest global event management companies.
Previously, Lee was the executive director of World Events Organisation (WEO), a division of the Pico Far East Group where his responsibilities included expanding the network through joint ventures, acquisitions and alliances of events companies. Lee also oversaw the corporate marketing and facilitated cooperation among WEO partners helping to increase the number of partners to 10 and explored exciting business ventures in Australia, the Middle East and other markets.
Prior to that, Lee was the Director, Sales and Marketing for the Asia Pacific region of Reed Travel Exhibitions, a division of Reed Exhibitions Company. As its division head in Asia, Lee was credited with launching the inaugural Asia Business Travel Market (ABTM) in Shanghai in 2003 as its Event Director.
Lee was also the Project Director for the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Travel Mart 2001 and 2002.
