HRV Fitness trains its business with Debitsuccess
To further improve their customer service, Geelong-based HRV Fitness has started using one of Debitsuccess' latest tools, the Online Management Gateway (OMG), which allows his clients to sign up to memberships completely online.
As a personal fitness trainer, HRV Fitness owner Tony Harvey knows that while it takes hard work and commitment to succeed in achieving personal fitness goals, it's easier if you can work personally with someone who understands those goals and can help you achieve them.
It's a practice that came into play for Tony last year as he opened HRV Fitness, his own boutique fitness club in the Geelong suburb of Grovedale. Tony decided to partner withDebitsuccess to handle all of his club's membership payment administration.
Tony started using Debitsuccess five years ago when working as a personal trainer.
As he recalls "prior to Debitsuccess, I had personal clients paying with cash, bank deposits and for a while I even had a portable EFTPOS machine. But people would genuinely forget to pay and I was always having to remind them ï¾ I hated that."
When he decided it was time to step up and start his own business, he knew that a big contributor to his success would come from minimizing his administration while maximizing his customer service.
Harvey adds "being a small gym with only 240 members, and about 70% of those on direct debit payment plans, it is great to have Debitsuccess making sure our cash flow is kept under control.

Tony takes great pride in that he always puts his clients first. For HRV Fitness, putting clients first means not locking them in with any fixed contracts.
Here, he adds "we want people to be using our gym because they want to be there, not because they 'have' to. Debitsuccess' call centre service means that people can easily sort their memberships out, even if it is to give four weeks' notice of cancellation."
Having introduced OMG, Harvey adds "OMG is great ï¾ I do a few fitness programs and training camps outside of the gym and OMG has made it a lot easier for people to sign up and pay for these online."
Tony says the OMG site was especially useful for the 'Train with Commando' event he held last month, where customers were able to sign up through the web site to train with Commando Steve from The Biggest Loser.
In addition to their simple, easy-to-use services, Tony says he also chose Debitsuccess because of their friendly staff.
"Our Business Development Manager, Margaret, met with us several times and gave us the sort of personal service we always try to give our own clients. Debitsuccess' aim was always to make sure they were meeting our needs as a new fitness centre.
