Heli Tours North Queensland reveals idyllic scenery

Remote waterfalls and a bird’s eye view of Queensland’s tallest mountains are among the highlights of a new tour showcasing the Tropical North Queensland.

Heli Tours North Queensland has been launched in Cairns with an array of helicopter tours delving deeper into Tropical North Queensland to offer highly desirable experiences the average traveller misses out on.

With an extensive career which has included mustering cattle by helicopter and flying charters throughout the region, Eric Webb founded Heli Tours North Queensland to share some of the extraordinary opportunities he has enjoyed.

Webb explains “just because (visitors) only have time for a few days in Cairns doesn’t mean (they) can’t head west to catch a barramundi in the picturesque Mitchell River or walk on the beach at Lizard Island.

“My favourite day’s flying was when I covered the many diverse landscapes of Tropical North Queensland where the blue of the Great Barrier Reef contrasts against the green of the Wet Tropics rainforest and the red of the Gulf Savannah.

“So I created the Signature Tour Series to strip back the layers of this multifaceted destination and showcase its diversity in a way not many people get to experience.

“The Colours of North Queensland flight will whisk passengers between Queensland’s highest peaks of Bartle Frere and Bellenden Ker for a guided tour of the world’s longest lava tubes at Undara Volcanic National Park.

“We then return to the Wet Tropics rainforest taking in remote Blencoe Falls and Australia’s highest single drop waterfall, Wallaman Falls, before returning to Cairns over the top of Hinchinbrook Island, Dunk Island and the Great Barrier Reef.

“Even the short Heli Tours trips have been designed to showcase what is on the doorstep of Cairns including local favourites like Stoney Creek and Wangetti Beach which few visitors get to see.

“People who relish the opportunity of seeing a destination from the air and getting to places that are not included on many itineraries will find the Heli Tours North Queensland experiences more than memorable.”
