Health on Hampton personal fitness studio relocates to Bridgetown Leisure Centre

The Bridgetown Leisure Centre in Western Australia’s South West region has welcomed the arrival of the Health on Hampton personal fitness studio within its premises.

Relocating to the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes-owned facility, the personal fitness studio will continue to provide opportunities for locals' physical and mental wellbeing in its new setting.

HOH is a private fitness studio that has been assisting locals to achieve their health and fitness goals, with current owner Melanie Taylor providing personal training and team fitness for the past six years.

The move up to the new location is part of an expansion plan for the business, which Bridgetown- Greenbushes Shire President Tony Pratico believing it will benefit many within the community.

He advised "I have been supportive of this move to the leisure centre since Mel Taylor first approached us and made the suggestion.

"It is another service that we can now provide and add to the integrated aquatic and recreation facilities in Bridgetown."

HOH opened in its new location on Monday 15th July with Taylor welcoming the transition from her smaller studio on the town’s Hampton Street to the larger facility at the centre.

She told the Donnybrook Mail "it was getting pretty cramped in the old studio, and now we have so much space, it is a little overwhelming, but it is refreshing and energising and we are all looking forward to being able to utilise the centre's facilities, including the swimming pool, in the summer months."

With HOH offering individual and group classes aimed at helping people of all ages and abilities to achieve success in their health and fitness goals, Taylor adds “exercise is so important.

"It has many benefits for the body and the brain and we now know that exercise stimulates chemicals that improve your mood and the parts of the brain responsible for memory and learning.

"We make exercise fun and it feels like we are part of a great big family, which really helps when you sometimes want to give up."

Bridgetown is located approximately 270 kilometres south of Perth.
