Head Returns to WA Aquatics
After a lengthy sabbatical in the South of France, Western Australian aquatic industry identity Tony Head has returned to the role of Executive Officer of LIWA Aquatics.
With the support of Western Australian Department of Sport and Recreation, who have provided funding for this role for a three year period, and the Royal Life Saving Society (WA Branch), who are providing office space and supporting infrastructure, Head undertake a range of projects under the direction of the LIWA Aquatics Board
Head will also be involved industry development, representation and advocacy, sustainability and education and training while being employed by The Royal Life Saving Society (WA Branch) in a permanent part time role in the area of safety risk services.
As Tony explains, âthe synergies between this position and my role with LIWA Aquatics fit perfectly for the aquatic industry, as it also allows me to ensure that industry is considered and deferred to when required. It will also see me in the field undertaking Group 1 Facility Audits and working closely with the Municipal Liability Scheme on a range of outcomes.�?
