Hard Rock Cafe set for Sydney reopening
Themed dining, the F&B buzzword of the late 1990s, is set for a comeback in Sydney with a new Hard Rock Cafe due to open at the city's Darling Harbour entertainment, retail and dining precinct.
Themed dining took a hit in Australia in recent years with the closures of Sydney's Planet Hollywood, the former Sydney Hard Rock Cafe in Crown Street and Melbourne's Hard Rock.
Opening in mid-2011, Hard Rock Cafe Sydney will have capacity for 500+ people and will include a bar, lounge, dining area and a live music space.
Darling Harbour is Sydney's most significant tourist entertainment precinct featuring key attractions including Imax, Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Wildlife World and the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Hard Rock Cafe Sydney's retail Rock Shop opened early December 2010. It offers an exclusive range of fashion, classic tees, jewelry, gifts, pins and collectables.
