Hangtime Trampoline Park opens in Wollongong

The owners of Wollongong's Hangdog Climbing Gym have opened the Hangtime Trampoline Park, the first trampoline centre in the NSW Illawarra region.

Part of a growing number of trampoline centres springing up around the country, the 800 metre2 centre in the Wollongong suburb of Coniston, holds two performance trampolines, a large main jumping area, a dodgeball court and a basketball slam dunk alley. Guests can also bounce off the walls and dive into two foam pits.

Hangtime and Hangdog owner Brett Baker told the Illawarra Mercury "it is built on the same idea as Hangdog, offering something that is fun, exciting and good exercise."

He added "trampoline parks have been around in the USA for years, but they're starting to catch on here in Australia now."

In addition to recreational trampolining, the centre will offer children's parties and fitness in the near future.
