Gym Owners’ Network aims to provide online resources for fitness business owners
Fitness business owner and industry innovator Mel Tempest has joined forces with leading global fitness business identities to establish and launch The Gym Owners’ Business Network.
Having identified what she sees as a gap in the marketplace, Tempest founded the network to specifically create a go-to industry hub where gym owners can share ideas, resources, education and experiences with other fitness business owners based across Australia, and throughout the globe.
Looking to be a ‘one-stop shop’ to support and service the needs of gym owners, the online-based Gym Owners’ Business Network is, according to Tempest, looking “to disrupt the Australian industry, as it challenges the status quo”.
Explaining the creation of the Network “as one of Australia’s most long-standing gym owners, I wanted to create an online space where other fitness business owners can turn to when they need support, or to locate products or services that will help them build a better fitness business.
“I want it to be free service for club owners so they can invest their income into other areas of their business and get a return.
“There are enough opportunities to go around, for all of us gyms to help people live healthier and happier lives. As gym owners, although we may sometimes feel in competition with each other, the truth is, we are all just one industry.
“And when we unite and collaborate for the good of the industry, we can all reap the benefits.”
Tempest, who has previously sought election to the Fitness Australia board, adds “I see this as just laying the foundation of what can be a new exciting association for all.”
The Gym Owners’ Business Network website is due to launch on 12th February.
