Growing Australasian interest in Piscine Global Europe event
Piscine Global Europe, the leading swimming pool and wellness event, will open its doors to aquatic industry professionals from across the global swimming pool industry from 13th to 16th November 2018 at Eurexpo in the French city of Lyon.
With French President Emmanuel Macron currently in Australia and Australian Prime Minister Malcolm having been in France last week for ANZAC Day commemorations, relations between the two nations have never been better.
It is also significant that Australia and France rival each other for having the highest level of public pools provision per head of population in the world. As a result, the commercial aquatics sector in each nation has much to learn from each other.
This was evidenced at the Piscine Global Europe in 2016 when executives from Australia’s Supreme Heating met representatives from French compay DualSun and instantly saw the potential for DualSun’s hybrid solar panel in Australia.
As a result, the two companies commenced a partnership that now sees Supreme Heating import the innovative solar product for not only for residential swimming pools and spas but also the commercial swimming pool sector.
The next edition of Piscine Global Europe, the leading show in its sector, will shine the spotlight resolutely on the lifestyle, wellness, the customer experience and digital technologies.
As Piscine Global Europe Director Noémi Petit explains “the next Piscine Global Europe will respond to the expectations of exhibitors and visitors in terms of customer experience.
“Presenting pools as a lifestyle is now part of the exhibition’s DNA: a dependable event with quality as its watchword, showcasing French know-how and covering a global network.”
During the four-day show, exhibitors and visitors will come together to discuss ways to move the industry forward together. It will also be the opportunity to attend a host of events showcasing innovation with a series of seminars on Pool Innovations.
In addition, latest trends in the sector will also be put in the spotlight with the Pool Design Awards (competition dedicated to architects, which will award prizes to the most exceptional pool projects), the Aquafitness show, which was designed to propose new ideas of activities and services for private and public authorities, and the Water Tests, which will provide opportunities to test products in real-life conditions.
In 2016, close to 18,000 visitors attended the exhibition to discover the latest new products on the market and the 1276 brands represented by 596 registered exhibitors.
Editor's note: Piscine is the French word for swimming pool.
