Gravity Zone trampoline arena reopens
Almost six months after it was damaged by fire, the Gravity Zone trampoline arena in Melbourne's south-east has reopened.
With the October 2013 fire causing owner Paul Davies to undertake a full rebuild of the facility, the renovated and reopened facility, believed to be Australia's largest trampoline arena, features over 150 trampolines and 3,000 metres2 of fun.
Davies explains "Gravity Zone offers activities for all ages from 'little leapers' through to extreme sports fanatics."
The facility offers:
Pro Zone – High performance trampolines
Free Zone – Free trampoline jumping
Mini Jump Zone – Dedicated area for preschool littlies
Slam Zone – Basketball trampolining
Dodge Zone – Dodgeball games
Foam Zone – Fun foam pits
Kids Zone – Playground area
Occuring just weeks after Gravity Zone opened in September 2013, the 4th October fire caused about $2 million damage to the facility.
At the time, a Victorian Country Fire Authority spokesperson said that the fire appeared to be have been started by a maintenance worker's use of a blow torch close to a foam pit.
Throughout its period of closure, Gravity Zone management has been communicating with users and followers with bookings via Facebook, advising as of today (Thursday 27th March) "Gravity Zone is now open, make sure you come down and have a jump."
Commenting on local support, Davies added "I would like to thank all our patrons for their support during our closure.
"We are so appreciative of this support ... it makes us very grateful to be part of such a great community."
