Graham Returns to Suncorp

Well known industry executive, Alan Graham has been re-appointed General Manager of Suncorp Stadium.

Graham, who will return to the Stadium in early August, will replace Paul Sergeant who is returning to Wales to oversee the administrative and venue operations of the Llanelli Scarlets Rugby Club.

Graham was the inaugural Stadium General Manager, overseeing the intense pre-opening period and during its initial three years of operation to universal and critical acclaim.

He recently returned to Australia from China where he successfully opened and managed the 18,000 seat Beijing Olympic Basketball Arena for AEG Ogden. He also oversaw the early arrangements for the spectacular new Shanghai Arena currently under construction as the centerpiece of the 2010 China World Expo, and launched the AEG Ogden venue expansion across major cities in China.

Announcing this appointment, AEG Ogden Chief Executive Officer, Harvey Lister said it was widely recognized during the 2008 Games that the basketball arena was the most professionally managed of all the Olympic venues, stating "Alan brings a renewed perspective to the operation of Suncorp Stadium where his intimate knowledge of the venue and its events are highly regarded."
