Go for your life Physical Activity Forum
An upcoming Melbourne seminar 'Examining the Healthy Eating and Physical Activity Policy and Strategy Context' will be held on Friday 28th May 2010 at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.
Facilitated by Kinect Australia, this is one of a series of Victoria-wide physical activity promotion forums.
Facilitated by Kinect Australia, the seminar is one of a series of Victoria-wide physical activity promotion forums. It will focus on national, state and local policies and strategies on healthy eating and physical activity an aims to provide insight into the development and implementation of the strategies and policies, and discuss opportunities for engagement and implementation.
A range of local government case studies will highlight examples of implementing strategies and policies at the community level.
Featured speakers include Professor Jim Hyde, Director Prevention and Population Health Branch, Victorian Department of Health; Peter Boyle, Team Leader Urban Design, Department of Planning and Community Development; and Clare Hargreaves, Manager - Social Policy, Municipal Association of Victoria.
Attendance at the seminar is free.
