Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre set to open on 25th March
Latrobe City Council has announced that its new multi-million dollar Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre will open to the public from 6am on Thursday 25th March.
This state-of-the-art facility features a variety of pools, a fully equipped gym, aquatic play area, spa, sauna and steam rooms.
These facilities will be open from 25th March with programmed group fitness classes, including spin classes, starting on the same day.
However, the Council advise that “as a result of COVID-19, delays have been encountered in the delivery of gym fitness equipment, unfortunately this will delay the opening of the gym.”
The new aquatic centre is the flagship project of the Victorian Government’s $85 million Latrobe Valley Sports and Community Initiative program administered by the Latrobe Valley Authority.
The YMCA, who are managing the facility on behalf of Council, are currently recruiting for a number of roles at the facility.
