Future of Community Sport and Recreation Conference
Sport and Recreation Victoria is to host the People Places and Partnerships Conference 2009: the future of community sport and recreation.
To be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th October, the conference will feature international, national and local experts will offer insights on the future challenges and solutions available to community sport and recreation.
Sport and Recreation Victoria, in partnership with VicHealth, is hosting the conference which will bring together key Victorian community sport and recreation stakeholders, to share knowledge, exchange ideas and learn more about the current and future challenges facing the sector.
Key presentations will cover:
* An exclusive behind the scenes tour of the redevelopment of the Melbourne and Olympic Parks precinct, and the construction of the Rectangular Stadium.
* The latest developments in sports facility design
* Cutting edge advances in synthetic surface development.
