Funtopia set to open Australia’s most advanced adventure play centre
Funtopia is counting down to opening the doors to the biggest indoor adventure play centre in the country at Carrum Downs in Melbourne’s south-east.
Set to open next month, the attraction features Australia’s largest indoor playground, the world’s safest and most technically advanced climbing walls, restaurant-quality food and drinks at the on-site café, 'Mr Spriggins', as well as top-class party and function spaces.
Aiming to engage all ages in fun activity, Funtopia Carrum Downs offers world’s most advanced safety and interactive technology to create the world’s largest fully immersive fun-climbing adventure arena of their type. The climbing walls are fully interchangeable and interactive - meaning that the 40 climbing challenges are regularly altered to challenge different skills sets and levels.
Introducing the attraction, a Funtopia spokesperson advised “‘Funtopians’ are encouraged by the interactivity of the walls and the centre’s approachable, highly trained staff, offering constant hands-on support to push that little bit further, overcoming their fears and building up their self-confidence.
“Parents, family members and friends can sit back at ease as their loved ones achieve personal goals, resting sure that the latest specially designed safety equipment and highly trained staff are on hand every step of the way.
“Funtopia’s auto belays and self-clip devices are the world’s most advanced and do not allow for dis-engagement unless the climber is safely on the ground.”
In addition to the world class interactive climbing facilities, Funtopia Carrum Downs will also feature Australia’s largest indoor playground built with over 2500 metre² of fun and interactive technology.
The Funtopia spokesperson added “the custom designed centre pays homage to Australia’s great landmarks and icons with Australian attractions and monuments from around our beautiful nation.
“Visitors of all ages can ascend the Sydney Harbour Bridge, explore the Great Barrier Reef, and marvel at the enormous Eureka Tower. Kids and parents can (also) take a tour through the sights of Australia on the signature Car Track that weaves through the playground arena, tolls, traffic and all.”
Funtopia Carrum Downs has a layout of distinct ‘worlds’, designed to naturally separate children of different ages groups with all areas enjoying great visibility from Mr Spriggins’ F&B arena.
Funtopia Carrum Downs will house a full-service café, Mr Spriggins, incorporating a specially designed seasonal menu and serving a large mix of café favourites prepared by highly trained chefs with high-quality ingredients.
The Funtopia spokesperson also noted "Mr Spriggins will also keep parents and family caffeinated with specialty coffee prepared by skilled baristas."
The flagship adventure play centre from the Funtopia Group, who have 11 sites across the globe, the new attraction has been designed to deliver unforgettable family memories through active play and character-building activities.
Funtopia is a unique indoor adventure park concept with adventurous, entertaining and healthy activities for all ages. Designed to be entertaining and good for the mind and body, this interactive indoor adventure park was created by Australian entertainment entrepreneur Leo Neophytou and Ivaylo Penchev, founder of Walltopia, the world’s biggest producer of climbing and adventure products.
