FUEL Women’s Fitness Business Summit backs Human Kind Project

Sydney-based women’s fitness business event, the FUEL Women’s Fitness Business Summit, has announced a partnership with the Human Kind Project to support a project that helps fund educational opportunities for girls in India.

Founded by fitness entrepreneur Deb Goldberg and being held on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th July 2019, the two-day Summit’s backing for the Human Kind Project will help enhance education for young women in impoverished parts of the sub-continent.

Welcoming the support, Jacinta McDonell, founder of the Human Kind Project, stated "I'm thrilled to collaborate with the FUEL Women's Fitness Business Summit.

“Their mission is clear; they're creating a space for women to own their entrepreneurial spirit and be leaders who create impact in meaningful ways, and that's something that aligns so well with why the Human Kind Project exists.”

Founded in 2015, the registered foundation has since raised in excess of $1.3 million for a range of projects globally that cover areas such as preventative health initiatives, start-up micro finance loans, and business and financial education.

The Girls’ Education Project raises funds to support Barefoot College, an organisation that provides hands-on education to children who need alternative educational opportunities that allow them to help support their families by day.

A donation of US$150 funds one year of schooling through Barefoot College, for one girl aged from six to 14 years.

McDonell added "both Deb and I believe that if you have the privilege and fortune to be able to do work that matters, and to choose how you spend your days, then you also have a responsibility to

contribute and give back. That’s why we’re committing 5% of the proceeds from all FIRESTARTER tickets to the Girls’ Education Project, along with committing different levels of support from our sponsorship packages.”

Delighted to be receiving McDonell’s support for the Summit, Goldberg concluded “Jacinta is the perfect example of an incredibly successful and accomplished businesswoman who is changing the world through social enterprise. We're truly proud to support Human Kind Project.”
