FS8 marks International Pilates Day with free classes across Australia
International Pilates Day is an annual event celebrated on the first Saturday of May, currently 3rd May 2025. It's a global celebration aimed at raising awareness and fostering appreciation for the Pilates method, a mind-body exercise system developed by Joseph Pilates.
Australians can celebrate International Pilates Day with FS8 - the signature blend of Pilates, Yoga and Tone - completely free nationally.
With over 2.3 million Australians regularly practising Pilates and participation up 35% in the last five years, it’s clear Australians are moving mindfully and embracing lower-impact, body-positive fitness options.
Australian-born brand, FS8 is at the forefront of the Pilates movement with innovative workouts that fuse the modalities of Pilates, Yoga and functional training.
The seamless, joint-friendly exercise studio provides members and newcomer Pilates lovers alike a series of classes incorporating a dynamic blend of low-impact movements that sculpt and tone to support strength, stability and flexibility, all while practising mindfulness.
FS8 General Manager, Janina Czado believes the benefits of Pilates are paramount to overall wellbeing and notes “Pilates is so much more than a fitness trend, but is a powerful tool to support physical wellbeing, strength, and mental clarity. It becomes a ritualistic source of joy, and a time to be present with your body, and with the community around you.
“We’re thrilled to be welcoming all Australians, no matter their age, physical ability or current fitness level into our FS8 community, to experience not only our class schedule, but the holistic health benefits that come with it, and the supportive network we’ve created”.
FS8 CLASSES INCLUDE:
Hybrid: Combining two styles of training, cardio and resistance, the primary focus is on continuing to improve strength, cardiovascular endurance and total body conditioning.
Strength: Free weights, spring tensions and body weighted exercises encourage muscular contraction and endurance; building on overall strength through the simulation of all major muscle groups.
Cardio: Elevating the heart rate and stimulating the lungs through rhythmic and continuous movement. A high intensity and low impact component of training, energises and invigorates the body, cardiorespiratory and cardiovascular systems.
Restore: Active recovery is more than just stretching. Through mindful, slower and low-impact movements, this yoga inspired practice encourages muscles to lengthen, release and rebuild. Bringing the consciousness to the breath creates a calm, non-intimidating environment.
Free FS8 classes are available in studios nationally on Saturday 3rd May. To lock in a free workout class, use promo code PILATESDAY at participating studios.
In addition to free classes, FS8 will be running an International Pilates Day giveaway, with a total of five prizes to be won including a $100 Alo Yoga Gift Card, $80 Bala Bangles Gift Card and FS8 Merch to the Value of $100. Simply attend an FS8 class at any studio on Saturday 3rd May for your chance to win. Ts&Cs apply.
