Foxtix signs WOMADelaide Foundation

News Ticketing Chief Executive Adam McArthur has announced that Foxtix has been appointed the exclusive ticketing partner for the WOMADelaide Foundation.

The WOMADelaide Foundation consists of two green, companion festivals; the WOMADelaide festival which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and Womad Earth Station, an event that fuses arts and sustainability.

Co-founded in the UK by Peter Gabriel, annual WOMADelaide event is one of Australia's favourite outdoor festivals, with attendances of 81,500 people over four days at last year's event.

Womad Earth Station is to be held in South Australia at Long Gully, Belair National Park, from 21-23 October 2011 while the next WOMADelaide festival will run from the 9th to 12th March2012.

McArthur said that he was excited to be ticketing for the WOMADelaide Foundation as its events strengthen Foxtix's growing portfolio of new business.

He explained "this account win challenges the market by confirming to the ticketing industry that Foxtix provides a fresh approach and unbeatable value for customers.

"WOMADelaide Foundation provides a truly unique offering. We are proud to be a given the opportunity to be a part of an event which provides the perfect platform for scientists, politicians, students, musicians and the general public alike, to collectively discuss and debate the many challenges our planet faces in attempting to find a sustainable future. "

According to Nicola Prime of WOMADelaide Foundation, the festival is eager to be using Foxtix as its exclusive ticketing partner because of its superior offering to competitors.

Prime explains "the low fees, superior marketing packages creating unparalleled reach and flexible customer service options that Foxtix is able to offer, means that event organisers have a real alternative to Australia's current ticketing providers."

Foxtix's current list of clients includes the Brisbane Festival 2011, Gorgeous Festival, Swimming NSW, Lorne Festival of Performing Arts as well as the 2012 Formula One Australian Grand Prix.
