Flowst8 Studios opens in new Maroochydore city centre development

The Sunshine Coast’s newest gym, Flowst8 Studios, has opened in Maroochydore’s Foundation Place development offering a mix of mind and body training such as breathing, yoga, mindfulness as well as weight-based training and group-based sessions.

Along with its studio-based timetable, classes are also offered on the building’s rooftop.

Owner Dave Nelson, who has previously run the training program online, said he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to move into the purpose-built studio, explained “we definitely wanted to be in a prime location within the new CBD, we want to be a part of this growth and Foundation Place has such a good vibe particularly the rooftop area which is ideal for our sunrise and sunset classes.”

He said the training philosophy of the gym embraces yin and yang philosophies of body and mind training, adding “some of the world’s leading athletes including NFL superstar Tom Brady, basketball legend LeBron James, surfer Kelly Slater and tennis greats Roger Federer and Serena Williams all embrace this type of training.

“There’s no doubt that the reason they are all performing at their optimum level well into their 30s is due to the way they have embraced mind and body training.”

Foundation Place, the first commercial building in the new Maroochydore city centre, was completed at the end of 2020.
