Fleurieu Regional Aquatic Centre Authority appoints new Executive Officer

The Fleurieu Regional Aquatic Centre Authority has announced the appointment of Lauren McKee as its new Executive Officer.

The Executive Officer reports directly to the Authority Board and is responsible for enacting strategic priorities, as well as the overall management of the Authority.

As reported by the Victor Harbor Times, the Authority advised that McKee’s appointment recognised her track record in delivering strategies that enhance service innovation, community engagement and financial sustainability.

Enticed by the lifestyle and welcoming community, McKee and her family relocated to the Fleurieu Peninsula a few years ago where she immersed herself in the local community in her previous role with the Goolwa Community Centre.

Announcing the appointment, Fleurieu Regional Aquatic Centre Authority Chair, Steve Mathewson stated “the Fleurieu Regional Aquatic Centre Authority is thrilled to welcome Lauren to the team. Her strong background in business management coupled with extensive experience working with Boards will be highly valuable for our organisation

"Lauren achieved impressive results during her tenure as Business Manager at the Goolwa Community Centre and was a key driver behind the Centre's revitalisation. She has a lot to offer the Authority."

McKee advised that in addition to her extensive management experience, she is passionate about working with organisations that deliver community benefits, commenting “facilities like the Fleurieu Aquatic Centre play an important role in building strong and healthy communities and I am extremely privileged to be part of this

"I look forward to working together with the Board and facility management to support the aquatic centre's success."

She commenced in the position on 8th October.
