FitnessBiz celebrates five years of transformation
FitnessBiz 2012, presented by REX Roundtables and Active Management, has entered its sixth year of providing fitness industry business owners with practical content on how to manage their business successfully.
This year FitnessBiz will become a full day event and add times for engagement and implementation of strategies.
To be held on 25th October in Sydney and 26th October in Melbourne, the theme of FitnessBiz 2012 is implementation, offering owners an opportunity to engage with the speakers and peers on how to implement the theory that they have heard and transform that into business profitability and increased member engagement.
Justin Tamsett, owner of Active Management & REX licensee in Australia, created FitnessBiz as a way to take his messages and insights to a large gathering of business owners to help them maintain grow and provide the best service to their members.
Tamsett explains "running a gym or health club is tricky business to balance.
"As well as staffing, equipment and overheads to manage, owners have to keep their marketing and promotional ideas as fresh as possible to keep the level of interest up for their members and prospects."
"Maintaining a fitness program requires commitment and effort from the members and running a fitness business also requires similar commitment and effort."
"Historically, FitnessBiz has visited every capital city. Numbers have not been great in some cities so this year we will just visit Sydney and Melbourne. However, we provide a $150 discount for people who have to travel more than 100 kilometres - making this the most accessible face to face way to improve business.
"We appreciate the many fitness conferences now available to owners. This conference has been specifically designed to be different by adding in time to engage with our experts. You just don't listen to them. At FitnessBiz you will engage for clarity and implementation, making this the most unique fitness conference ever held in Australia."
FitnessBiz is also backing the Fit for Good charitable initiative, with Tamsett adding "we are also excited to donate $20 per person to Fit For Good. Last year we donated $2,400 and hope that we can at least match that this year."
TamsetJustin is a very active participant in the social media world and is the Australian fitness industry's go-to man for information, tactics and techniques. A thought leader who challenges the status quo and this is a quality he brings to FitnessBiz every year.
