Fitness First Launches Online Exercise and Food Tracking Program

For those looking to lose weight, train for a specific event, get healthy or build muscle, Fitness First Online offer tools including eating and exercise programs, weigh in reminders, helpful tips and a whole lot more to help users make permanent changes to their lifestyle.
Michael Cunico, Fitness First Health and Fitness Advisor has overseen the development of the online program and thinks it will be of huge benefit to all Australians not just members of Fitness First.
Cunico explains âat Fitness First our aim is get Australians fitter and by using Fitness First Online we hope Australians will be able to track their exercise and monitor their nutrition to help them achieve their health and fitness goals.
âPreviously if you wanted direction on how to lose weight, train for a specific event or look for healthy eating and exercising options you would have to go to specific, specialist sites. Fitness First Online provides all your healthy lifestyle needs on one site.
âWe all need some help in keeping ourselves on track and by using this online tool, we hope that more Australians will commit, and stick to, living a healthier lifestyle.?
The key features of Fitness First Online are:
Fitness - Easy-to-follow training plans designed by one of Australasiaâs leading master trainers, including step-by-step photo and video demonstrations for more than 500 exercises.
Nutrition - Choose from a range of delicious, nutritionally-balanced meal plans targeted to usersr energy needs, including recipes and meal ideas.
Tracking - Inspiring graphs and charts to track usersr progress towards their goals, including personal bests, weight management and body measurements.
PT Support - Allows a userâs Personal Trainer to monitor their training and nutrition diary to help them get better results.
When joining Fitness First Online, users will be asked a few questions about themselves including their training goals, height and current weight. From that information the site will determine the best style of exercise and menu programs to suit them.
The easy-to-follow training plans are customised to meet these training goals and there are currently four exercise programs to choose from:
1. Shape â for those trying to lose weight
2. Health â for those looking for optimum health
3. Strength â for those wanting to increase muscle and strength
4. Sport â those with a specific sporting goal in mind
From each of those goals users can select their fitness level â beginner, intermediate or advanced. Users programs will include video demonstrations and step-by-step instructions for more than 500 exercises.
Users will then be given a weekly menu which gives them a huge selection of tasty and healthy meal ideas as part of their personalised program. Each plan is designed to meet users personal energy needs, and comes with shopping lists for users to print before you head to the shops.
The next step is to use the site as a food and training diary. As users enter the food and drinks they consume, along with the activity they do, they are given immediate feedback on how they are tracking against your goals. This real time calculator gives a clear message of how the energy users put into their body and the energy they expend is helping them reach their target.
