Fitness First Bond Street Sydney club adopts boutique approach to strength training
Fitness First Australia has completed the transformation of its Sydney Bond Street Platinum club by not only updating the club in line with its new branding but also making the club a key location for strength and resistance training in the Sydney CBD.
In line with boutique/micro-gym concepts emerging in key international markets, Fitness First has refreshed the club with new brand elements, including a significantly expanded training area and improved Group Exercise and Cycle Studios.
With a focus on expertise and innovation, the Bond Street Platinum club has a special emphasis on strength with the latest equipment, technology and expertise for weight and combat training, such as Matrix Triple Cell Cages.
A Fitness First statement explains that the new club will “become a landmark for fitness in the Sydney CBD, and our best strength club in Australia, where expertise and community come together.”
While often associated with ‘big box’ gyms, Fitness First seems to be looking to differentiate key clubs in line with the industry movement towards boutique and micro-gyms.
Beginning in Sydney last year with the opening of The Zone at its Sydney King Street gym (with its emphasis on being a club specialising in dynamic movement training), this has continued with the opening of BEAT – a heart rate training club in London’s Charing Cross, and now with the new Fitness First Bond Street.
