Fitness clubs using iPads to track membership sales prospects
Australian fitness and health clubs are beginning to utilise Ipad's and tablet computers within their membership sales process to gain greater mobility and more accurate tracking of prospect data.
For decades health clubs have used pen, paper and a clip board to capture information about prospects as they enter a club. The main problem with such an approach is that it's difficult and time consuming to keep track of the hundreds of prospects that flow into a facility. Large facilities can have over 500 prospects a month making it a major challenge to keep track of membership prospects while using a paper based system.
Making such technology a reality is GreeneDesk paperless solutions, the company responsible for the popular MobileFit workout system.
GreeneDesk's SalesDesk product is a specialised membership sales system that allows health clubs to collect prospect information during membership sales tours via iPad's or any tablet device.
The Sales Desk system is making waves for its ability to mobilise membership sales consultants, automate follow up and provide centres with powerful sales related information with the click of a button. Many leading facilities have implemented the Sales Desk system including Victoria's Casey RACE and The Parks Sports Centre in South Australia.
The other unique feature of the Sales Desk system is the automated follow up capability where follow up rules can be established to help sales teams keep track of prospects due for follow up phone calls. Automated follow up emails and SMS can also be pre-programed to create an automated prospect nurturing process.
GreeneDesk Sales Manager Lane Harrison explains "in 2012, we noticed a significant need for a specialised membership sales solution.
"Many member management systems do have some sales tracking features.
"However, such functionality is usually week and does not provide the comprehensive capabilities that savvy clubs are looking for. Clubs want to be able to use tablet devices in their membership tours, they want an easier way to track when to follow up membership prospects and they want more detailed reporting capabilities to evaluate the performance of their team."
Sales Desk includes tools that can help clubs more effectively manage membership sales including, phone scripts, sales tour booking system, and tablet compatible needs analysis forms, follow up scheduling, and automated communications.
Proposed benefits of the Sales Desk system include improved sales conversion rates, access to better information, greater mobility and time saving benefits.
