Fitness Business Experts take on facility management at Pulse Gym, Wentworth Point
Fitness management consultancy Fitness Business Experts have expanded their activities, taking on the management of Pulse Gym, Wentworth Point – Australia's largest residential fitness and recreation facility.
The move sees Nic Monteforte and Shane Byrne, the principals of Fitness Business Experts, return to facility management – the widely respected pair having been instrumental in the successes of Fitness First Australia and Fit n Fast over many years prior to establishing FBE in 2014.
Explaining the move, Monteforte states “our hands-on approach provides a point of difference to all the other players as we remain involved in all the day to day operations.
“Our 40 years of collective experience in big chain commercial gym management allows us to bring real fitness facility business acumen to the table whilst remaining focused on building and developing a stronger, more active and healthier community in each of our facilities.”
While privately-owned, Pulse Gym, Wentworth Point is a facility built to provide the local community with a wide range of aquatic, fitness, recreation and sporting needs. Compromising of a gym, indoor 25 metres heated swimming pool, along with an outdoor pool, two tennis courts and many function rooms, Pulse provides lifestyle and benefits accessible to all Waterfront residents and investors.
Bringing the Fitness Business Experts’ acumen to the facility, Monteforte adds “our first six months has seen huge growth in all important KPIs such as membership, revenue and member usage.
“We have launched the Pulse Swim School, providing learn-to-swim for kids and adult learn-to-swim classes for the local community. An additional important focus is providing good quality fitness classes for the seniors of the community along with community health events, such as seminars and social gatherings.”
Fitness Business Experts’ investment in the facility is currently seeing the upgrading and re-fitting of all gym equipment along with new flooring being laid in the main function room.
Monteforte and Byrne are both highly motivated and excited by this new chapter in their career and are engaged in the management of similar projects both short term and long term, giving all facilities they contract to, the operational and financial management expertise and experience they need to ensure their success long term.
