Fitness Australia flags FILEX 2019 highlights
With FILEX 2019 set to start on Thursday 11th April, Fitness Australia has flagged some of the highlights of what it says will be an "action-packed FILEX weekend".
Thursday 11th April
The weekend commences with the FILEX Business Summit which, with the theme of Inspiring Success and Profit, will be addressed by keynote speakers Dr Angus Hervey and Melissa Neighbour.
Dr Hervey is a political economist and a journalist specialising in the impact of disruptive technologies on society. He is also a co-founder at Future Crunch.
Neighbour is an environmental town planner, community builder and sustainability specialist and is the Managing Director of Suburban Town Planners, a purpose-driven town planning consultancy based in Sydney.
A Fitness Australia statement advises "whether you’ve been in business for a month, a year or 10 years, the FILEX 2019 Business Summit delivers practical information to super-charge your success."
Thursday at FILEX also features the Strength Summit; Strength Matters, presented by James Breese.
Thursday evening will also see the presentation of the 2019 Australian Fitness Awards national winners at an exclusive dinner, celebrating all winners and finalists for their contribution to the Australian fitness industry.
Friday 12th April
Keynote speaker, the inspirational Turia Pitt will start the full event. A mindset coach, author and athlete, Pitt was caught in a grassfire while competing in a 100km ultramarathon in 2011, suffering third degree burns to 65% of her body.
She has gone on to become one of Australia’s most admired and widely recognised people, Turia has gone on to become a two-time Ironman and humanitarian – raising well over a million dollars for not-for-profit organisation, Interplast. Through her online presence, books and web-based programs, she has inspired millions to live with more confidence, drop their fears and exceed their own limitations to achieve epic goals.
Friday evening features the FILEX delegate drinks with remarkable networking opportunities.
Alongside FILEX runs the Fitness Show with its dedicated Industry Zone exclusively for fitness and health professionals.
Saturday 13th April
The day starts with the FILEX Big Breakfast with one of the country’s leading social media experts advising how to help you boost your engagement, gain more followers and achieve maximum cut-through in the highly competitive and overcrowded online space.
New to FILEX 2019 is the inclusion of the Women of Influence Forum (AP1) in the standard FILEX program, which means there is no additional fee required to attend this panel-led event.
