Fitbox launches fitbox Business Academy to provide targeted business training

Fitbox is partnering with the Queensland Government ‘s Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport to launch the fitbox Business Academy – a free program designed to strengthen the capability of Active businesses by leveraging Knowledge, Innovation and Technology to address the current challenges facing the fitness industry.

The program is part of the ActiveKIT funding program - a new initiative to come out of the Activate! Queensland 2019 – 2029 Strategy - providing $4.34 million in targeted funding in support of the Active Industry and its businesses in Queensland. The ActiveKIT initiative is a call to action to ‘shift the dial’ on investment in the Active Industry sector to drive physical activity participation in Queensland.

As a partner in the ActiveKIT program, fitbox will be running the fitbox Business Academy – a series of free workshops for Active businesses across key regional and metro areas. The workshops will provide targeted business training, tailored to each of the workshop’s participants.  The workshops will equip business owners with the skills to address current challenges and opportunities across areas such as building a more sustainable business, membership retention and engagement, expense management, online and digital opportunities, and increased costs due to the impact of COVID-19.

The fitbox ecosystem is designed to support and grow the businesses within the fitness industry, whether they are CrossFit affiliates, Functional Fitness centres, Boxing gyms, Yoga studios or those running Personal Training businesses.  The fitbox Business Academy is suitable for every fitness business and provides an opportunity to deliver a boutique business solution to participants.

To introduce these free workshops, fitbox will be hosting a series of events in selected Queensland locations.  Key fitness business owners in each area and will have access to experts from across all facets of health and fitness – business, technology and more – plus provide an opportunity for owners, managers and coaches to network and exchange ideas.
