Final opportunity to apply for latest round of Northern Territory Event Funding
All organisations interested in applying for the latest round of the Northern Territory Government’s Event Funding Program have until 11th February 2022 to apply.
The program, run by the Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC), helps organisers establish exciting new events, and develop those that already exist. Organisers can apply for funding under one of the following four categories: Mass Participation Event, Major Event, Event Development and Community Event.
NTMEC Chief Executive Tim Watsford advises “Events play a huge role in attracting visitors to the Territory, which boosts our economy, and creates and supports jobs. The events industry will play a vital role in the Territory’s post-COVID recovery, and the Event Funding Program offers an extra level of support for event organisers.
“The Territory is one of the most unique places in Australia, and home to some of the country’s most distinctive events and festivals. Every year applications for the Event Funding Program show there is a huge appetite for holding vibrant, memorable events, and we look forward to seeing what creative ideas are put forward this round to help expand and develop the Territory’s events calendar further.”
